DX-1650A-CONDUCTIVE COATING

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

DX-1650A is a water based coating material designed to provide surface electrical conductivity to substrates such as plastic sheet and foam, glass, paper, etc.

FEATURES:
DX-1650A provides a flexible coating with excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates including many plastic films and foam, glass, cardboard, paper, etc. The coatings are very conductive when dried, thereby preventing build-up of static charges.

TYPICAL PRODUCT DATA:
Color Black
W/Gallon 8.5 - 8.9 lbs.
Total Solids 24 - 28%
viscosity 350-450 cps (Brkfld #3 spindle @ 60 rpm 77oF
Flash Point None

APPLICATION:
Method: This material may be applied by spraying, rolling, dipping or brushing.
Reduction: If needed, deionized water may be used.

Agitation:

This material has been formulated to prevent hard settling of the pigments. However, after long periods of storage some soft settling may occur. The pigments may settle out much faster when material is diluted.

Drying:
Sprayed coatings on smooth surfaces will dry at room temperature within 20-30 min. Porous substrates such as plastic foam may require forced air at temperatures of above 220of

PERFORMANCE:
Electrical Less than 2000 ohms per linear inch at a dry film thickness of one mil. Electrical conductivity will vary with the thickness of the film applied. Thicker film provide greater conductivity and visa/versa. Adherence After complete drying, a strip of #600 scotch tape will not remove coating from glass.

STORAGE & HANDLING:
DO NO FREEZE - Material should be used within six months of date of manufacture.

PACKAGING:
Five or fifty-five gallon epoxy phenolic lined (non-returnable) open head steel pails and drums.
